TRI333PLET Ride 2026 Motorcycle Touring Program: THE IDEA: FROM RIDER TO TOURER
Plenty of riders can handle their bike on a weekend ride. Far fewer have crossed a border in a convoy, planned a multi-day tour, or know what to do if something goes wrong on the road. That gap is why we built the TRI333PLET Ride, a structured program that takes riders step by step from "I've always wanted to tour" to actually doing it.
In August 2026, our latest intake took on the full program. Many of the riders in this class were first-time tourers. All of them rode their own bikes, and all of them made it to the finish line safely.
TRI333PLET Phase 1 Classroom Day: PHASE 1: CLASSROOM DAY (22 AUG)
Before any wheels turned, we spent a full day in the classroom. After registration and an ice-breaker, so the group could meet each other, the day was packed with practical content:
- Cornering and road confidence: a session on the techniques that make touring smoother and safer.
- Essential skills for tourers: the know-how every rider should have before heading out on a long trip.
- Hands-on challenges: including a "Locate the Fuse Box" game that had riders digging into their own bikes.
- Open Q&A with DirectAsia: a representative from our sponsor spoke to the class and answered questions.
First Aid Training by SCDF
The highlight for many was the afternoon first responder course led by SCDF. It started with a presentation, followed by a long practical session on what to do in the critical minutes after an accident, before paramedics arrive. It's the kind of training you hope you never need, and one you'll be glad you have if you do.
TRI333PLET Phase 2 Familiarisation Ride: PHASE 2: FAMILIARISATION RIDE (23 AUG)
Day two moved from theory to tarmac. The class gathered early for a briefing, then rolled out for a roughly 110km cross-border ride. The aim was simple: get comfortable with the border process, convoy discipline and regrouping, in a controlled environment, before the main tour.
We crossed the border, regrouped at planned stops, shared a hearty breakfast, and came back across by early afternoon. For riders who had never done a border crossing before, this ride took most of the nerves out of it.
TRI333PLET Phase 3 Graduation Tour 3D2N Port Dickson: PHASE 3: THE GRADUATION TOUR (28–30 AUG)
This was the real test, a 3-day, 2-night tour with everything the class had learned. Fuel was included in the package, so riders could focus on the road. Our support crew rode along with the group the whole way.
DAY 01: Heading to Port Dickson (~310KM)
The day began early with a full briefing at the meeting point, then the convoy moved off at 8am. We rode in stages, with a breakfast stop, regular fuel and regroup breaks along the highway, and a group lunch. By mid-afternoon the class had reached Port Dickson, where everyone checked in, rested, and then headed out together for a group dinner.

DAY 02: A Relaxed Coastal Run (~85KM)
Day 2 was deliberately short, which gave the group a slower morning and a laid-back lunch. We then continued down the coast to a historic city for the night. In the evening, we left the bikes parked and took a chartered bus into town for sightseeing and a group dinner. That way, nobody had to ride at night after a long day.
DAY 03: Homeward Bound (~225KM)
On the final day, we checked out and rode south in a steady, well-managed convoy, with fuel and regroup stops along the way. Riders put into practice the convoy discipline and queue management they'd been taught earlier in the program. We made a final stop to eat together before the group dispersed.
DirectAsia Motorcycle Insurance Sponsor: BACKED BY DIRECTASIA
We're proud to again have DirectAsia as the official sponsor of this program. Their support helps us keep the program safe, well supported and properly run, from the classroom through to the final day of the tour.
REFLECTIONS

Across classroom sessions, a border ride and a 3-day graduation tour, the August 2026 class went from first-timers to confident tourers. No breakdowns, no incidents, and a whole group of new riding buddies. Seeing riders arrive nervous and leave ready to plan their own tours is why we run this program.
The next intake is already open. If you've been waiting for the right moment to start touring, this is it.
