EXPEDITION STATUS: Adapted for Safety
TIMELINE: November 2025
THE PIVOT: Exploring Taitung Culture & Community

Taiwan Motorcycle Tour Safety and Planning: THE VISION
The plan was flawless. Bikers & Flights Taiwan 2.0 was set to be our second conquest of the island, pushing from Kaohsiung through the legendary Taroko Gorge. The fleet was prepped and the riders were ready. But in the world of touring, Mother Nature always has the final vote. Her vote was Typhoon Fung-Wong.
Motorcycle Riding in Taitung Taiwan: THE JOURNEY
DAY 01: The Coastal Run (175KM)
Kaohsiung → Taitung

We launched from Kaohsiung with high morale, hitting the scenic coastal highway and making excellent time to Taitung. We checked into our base, the Formosa Naruwan Galaxy Hotel, expecting to prep for the mountain climb the next day. However, that evening, the intelligence changed: Typhoon Fung-Wong was cutting directly across our path.
Motorcycle Tour Emergency Protocols: SAFETY FIRST

Safety is the TRI333PLE Standard. Consulting with local guides and partners, it became clear: the mountains were closed, and wind speeds were exceeding safe riding limits. We had a choice: push on and risk the fleet, or ground the bikes and pivot. We chose the latter. The mountain mission was scrubbed; Operation Explore Taitung was activated.
Taitung Taiwan Cultural Exploration & Tourism: DISCOVERING TAITUNG

We didn’t let the storm dampen our spirits. We chartered a private bus and turned the tour into a cultural immersion. We explored Taitung’s hidden museums and scenic viewpoints that we would have missed on the bikes. A highlight was the "TRI333PLE Cinema"—an exclusive screening of our unreleased YouTube content, giving the crew a look behind the scenes of our media house.

THE RETURN: Homeward Bound
Taitung → Kaohsiung

When the weather window finally opened, we made the journey back to Kaohsiung. We didn't conquer the peak this time, but we conquered the situation. The Machinery was returned, and every rider remained safe.
REFLECTIONS
A tour operator is defined not by how they ride when the sun is shining, but by how they lead when the storm hits. We delivered an adventure—just not the one we expected. The bonds formed in that Taitung hotel were stronger than any mountain pass could have forged. To the 2.0 crew: thank you for your resilience.
